Modifying Older Homes and Apartments
Terraces and older apartment blocks present particular challenges: compact bathrooms, suspended timber floors, steps at street level and strata rules for common areas. Partner builders plan around these constraints, from compact accessible bathroom layouts to threshold ramps, and can help you prepare information for strata approval where works affect common property.
Bathroom Modifications for Elderly Residents
The Eastern Suburbs and North Shore have many older residents who wish to remain in homes they have lived in for decades. Bathroom modifications for elderly residents, such as walk-in showers, grab rails and raised toilets, are often the most effective way to reduce the risk of falls. Funding through My Aged Care, Support at Home, a Home Care Package or DVA may be available, subject to assessment.
