How Aged Care Home Modifications Are Funded
Modifications for older people may be partly or fully funded, depending on eligibility. Funding is always subject to assessment and approval.
- My Aged Care and Support at Home: the Assistive Technology and Home Modifications (AT-HM) scheme may fund modifications for eligible older people, usually after an OT assessment. A client contribution may apply.
- Home Care Packages: people still on a Home Care Package may be able to use their package funds.
- CHSP: the Commonwealth Home Support Programme may fund home adjustments for eligible people.
- DVA: eligible veterans may have home modifications funded through DVA programs, usually with prior approval.
